The brief was to create and produce a book-signing event that was both professional and glitzy enough to reflect the star quality and persona of the multi award winning, Michael Buble.
So we re-created a little bit 1950’s New York glamour, complete with a cinematic backdrop, film lighting and red carpet throughout the store. Michael Buble’s image, projected on the front of the building, helped to attract hundreds of screaming fans to the event.
Clear Island developed the creative concept, sourced all the props, designed and styled the store and managed the event on the night.

Clear Island Communications have worked with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services to develop a Media Wall Stand for major events, such as RiskMindsRisk & Reg and RiskMinds International, the world’s largest Risk Management Conference for the banking community. In producing a number of factual interviews with the Wolters Kluwer Financial Services experts around key industry topics, the stand provides those waiting for their coffee or smoothie the opportunity to gain perspectives on industry issues providing a thought provoking introduction to the company. The stands have been credited with helping to build the Wolters Kluwer Financial Services brand within the Risk Management Arena.
Clear Island manage RTPI 2014 Awards
Clear Island helped organise the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2014. The ceremony, at the Pullman London St Pancras, was attended by Sir Terry Farrell, the chair of judges, and Cath Ranson, the RTPI President. Glasgow City Council was overall winner for the Central Govan Action Plan.
Clear Island created a networking village for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ annual EMEA Client Conference in Chantilly, France. This two-day event brought together 160 regulatory, risk, finance and compliance specialists from across the globe to examine industry trends, challenges and future developments through presentations, interactive sessions and peer networking.
The brief was to produce a Regional Roadshow to introduce the new Managing Director and showcase the company's in-store strategy for Christmas, with a specific aim to personalise each event at a local level.
Clear Island worked closely with Waterstones' senior management to create and produce a touring conference roadshow around London, Newcastle and Bristol, with each event catering for up to 200 employees.

Clear Island developed the creative approach, handled all the logistics, including travel plans and author signings, managed the events on the day and managed a purpose-built shop to stage the activities.
To accompany the usual conference material, Clear Island produced a series of short films to engage the audience. This included a product showreel and book reviews filmed at various locations throughout the country.
